I expected to pay for location and ambiance of a boat-restaurant. No. I couldn t ask for anything better.Our server was fabulous. After telling me she knew a little about the beer menu , she rattled off descriptions right down to alcohol level. Amazing. My fried scallop roll was delicious. The lazy lobster was also perfect. The bread for the table was heavenly. And the fried seafood platter was huge and tasty. Not too heavy or fried.After paying over 100 for 3 not-fresh lobster rolls at lunch, this meal redeemed our Maine experience.

We got lobster rolls and the fisherman s platter as well as the Fried Haddock s Sandwich. Worth the waitWaiting times tend to be long here so come prepared. Mine was 2 hours

Well, Pete wanted fried oysters. So little did we know one of the owners was coming in and Pete was in his way and was asking about his shirt. Pete had his Watch Hill Safety Brigade shirt on. Well we sat at the bar, I asked the bartender which should I get crab cakes or scallops wrapped in bacon she said they are both great. This guy walks by Steve which should she get scallops or crab cakes, hey, it s the guy Pete was in his way. He said hey! He said. Why does it have to be a choice? I said because I won t be able to eat both. He said tell you what get both. I will comp you one. So the bartender said. He is serious. Jim said btw- I think he is one of the owners. So she said I think I can get crab cake in 1 for the order instead of 2. I said ok perfect. I got both. Pete had a few scallops. Jim had fries. The guy came over and saw the order in the register. He said you only got 1 crab cake. I said we are not people to take advantage of hospitality. He said boy, if there were more people who were like you. He was the guy who almost hit Pete, he was one of the owners. I will tell you, If I am in Portland again. I will absolutely go to DiMillo s. It s family owned the bartender was telling us they do everything bus tables, cook, prep, whatver is needed. Now that s taking pride and care in your business. The staff is was awesome too! What nice people. Thank you Steve DiMillo. You have earned customers for life.

Lobster and steamers, lobster stew was excellent. Waitress was amazing we will be back

We celebrated our son and daughter-in-laws wedding rehearsal dinner here, on July 9th, 2021. Working with Steve was wonderful, we are from out of town and dealing with Covid restrictions he made us feel comfortable in our choices. We had an upstairs room with the whole bow of the boat, the food and drinks were spectacular. Steve even said the sun would come out during the dinner and he was right!!! After Tropical Storm Elsa blew through it was a glorious night!
