You’ll love our spectacular views. It would be hard to find a better spot in Portland—or maybe even in the whole state of Maine—to take in a sea breeze, a harbor view, and an endless parade of boats than the DiMillo’s foredeck.
Great staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I don 39 t traditionally like lobster but 39 when in Rome 39 . This was my second time to try lobster in Maine. The first time was a flop. I did the twin lobster which was less expensive than the other lobster option only to realize they were the same br lobster but you get more with the twin for less money! Winning. The lobster was cooked amazingly. Obviously it 39 s hard shell so be ready to work or go eat fries. br My wife had the haddock sandwich broiled not fried. She too loved it. Great experience. Cool experience eating on a boat too!!
Heard good things about this place although the reviews here say otherwise... . Took my parents here for lunch while they were visiting. We got a lovely reservation for an outside table. The staff was very mindful of sanitation and distancing due to COVID, which was much appreciated. Water and bread were served promptly. Between the five of us dining, we all got a variety of dishes lobster stew, clam chowder, lobster mac, steak, blueberry cobbler, pecan crusted haddock, and broiled mix seafood . I was seriously blown away by most of these dishes. Well-executed, classic dishes, with just enough of a unique touch. My favorite was a tie between the steak and broiled mix seafood, specifically the shrimp. Can 39 t wait to stop by again once they fully open back up and serve their full menu.
Stopped here during the last days of COVID restrictions, ordered takeout by the curb. I got the scallop roll - the scallops were the size of a toddlers fist - fries almost as good as McDonalds, Blueberry soda. Will go back when I am in town.
We stopped in here for late afternoon early dinner a couple October s ago as we were traveling throughout wonderful New England and stayed near downtown Portland. The waterfront is gorgeous and DiMillo s on the Water on the old ship was quite enjoyable. It was a warm, peaceful and sunny day as our server was attentive, courteous and friendly. Doris started with a glass of white wine I went with a tall cold Pilsner Beer. We shared an order of fried calamari then Doris had a cup of their delicious New England Clam Chowder, followed by their baked haddock dinner while I went with a 2 pound lobster dinner. Everything was very well prepared and mouth watering. Our total bill came to 140. We look forward to our return. Simply beautiful here.
